It was another day of school and honestly Kevala could so do without it. But she was here none the less and right now enjoying an hour long break between classes to sit outside and try and enjoy the day.
It was cloudy out, which suited her fine. She despised the sun for the simple fact that it always hurt her eyes given their light color. But that was beside the point.
Finding an empty table to sit upon, she laid back upon the top of such and let the soft, cool breeze blow over her. Dressed in a pair of jeans and a small black tank top, she closed her eyes and exhaled a soft breath into the afternoon air. She would much rather have been home, with the twins and Mischa, though if she was not mistaken, Mischa had a job today...so yeah...She would have been home worried sick....
Better to be here and forced to think of other things she supposed.....Her hand coming up, brushing back her hair from her face as she ignored the sounds of a group of guys whistling at her and making not to polite comments in her direction.
Yeah yeah....She had heard it all and seen it all....They could just keep dreaming for all she cared...But the moment they touched was the moment they lost a hand. Heh...She may have been small, but she was more than able to take care of herself....Though she did not appear it....She looked more the type to get pushed around....But yeah ...whatever...She would prove them wrong soon enough.

That whistle would, however, get cut off and replaced by a soft yelp, followed by the sounds of bodies finding the ground. Oh, no, this was no surprise attack on the unsophisticated whistler, no. This was an incident where one not-so-average little Junior was walking by so innocently with headphones blaring music into his ear, his eyes half-closed and thus failing to see the group of Seniors walking towards his direction. And voila, a bump, a fall by the Junior, and thus, the tripping and resultant falling of the Senior.
Cain let out a soft hiss, his right hand rubbing his bottom, having landed on the asphalt walkway on it. Now that had hurt. What was the guy's idea, bumping into him? Did he not see that Cain was in no state to really pay attention to his surroundings? Oh yeah, he was totally driving the blame to the other guy. Of course, unsurprisingly, the Senior was doing the same. The only difference was, he was verbally expressing it. And with a finger, at that.
Cain looked up at him, quite exhausted and sleepy indeed, having slept in late last night due to training. He tilted his head for a moment, looking ever so clueless, which only served to piss the Seniors off just a tad bit more. It was not enough to send them striking, though. However, what happened next did draw the final straw. Cain raised his right hand, pulling off one of the ear muffs of his head phones.
"Sorry, what did you say?"
"You punk!"
The Senior's friend - Yes, there were three of them - stepped forward and threw a wild kick. Cain's eyes widened, still unsure of what was happening. Reflexes and instincts kicked in as he quickly laid back, lying down on the ground, the kick gliding over his body. Moving quickly, he threw a right chop at the back of his ankle, sending numbing jolts up his leg, causing him to stagger back.
Ah, hell, Cain never could stay out of trouble, it seemed.

Her attention did shift as she heard the scuffle going on in the same dietion. Her head turning so that she could look toward the group which had been whistling at her as they went after what appeared to be a younger student.
She could not help but growl and roll her eyes....Part of her wanted to get up and go and help, but the other half felt that it was no longer her duty....Gah! She hated being conflicted like that.
Grumbling to herself she would finally sit up on the table and turn her body in the dcirection of the scuffle. If it got too out of control or if the kid looked to be getting his ass handed to him......then she would step up and make them back down.....but for now, watching was all she would do.
Her arms coming up and crossing over her knees as she brushed her tongue over her lower lip.

As the first attacker staggered back, the Senior's other friend came forward, attempting to pin Cain down onto the ground with a left hand on his shoulder and thus provide himself a chance to rain right jabs down at Cain's face. However, the Junior's reflexes was too fast to allow such a move to happen to him, as his left hand snapped up, an index and middle finger, pushing into his solar plexus and into the inner side of his ribs, causing him to let out a struggled gasp, his diaphragm catching most of the impact. Then, with his right hand, Cain would shove him off to the side, before rolling to the other side and onto his feet. That guy was out of the fight already, it seemed, as he crossed his arms over his body, gasping for air.
The other two, however, were still up and ready. Cain left out a soft sigh. Well, might as well do this. He reached up, sliding the strap of his bag off his shoulders as he readied himself. Here were two men, larger than he was, but obviously slower. There were little people here, as Cain had realised, that could match up with his speed. He let out a soft grin, taking a few steps forward. Then, the Senior who had bumped into him moved forward, throwing a right roundhouse kick at his waist. Cain would let out a grin, pushing off with his left leg and driving it back, allowing the larger man's feet to slide past his body. As soon as the kick was cleared, Cain would push off with both legs, his left elbow driving into the underside of the man's outstretched thigh.
A yelp escaped his lips as soon as he put his feet down, causing him to stagger to the side. Of course, being the lethal and quick striker that Cain was, he would take advantage of the opportunity, throwing his own round house kick at the man's other knee, thus succeeding in injuring both of his legs. The man fell to his knees, before going down on all fours. Yup. A lethal striker indeed. That left one other person. However, it seemed that this guy, having already experienced an attack on the back of his ankle, was smarter than the rest and knew he could never take on Cain.
With that in mind, he turned and fled.
And he fled towards Kevala's direction.

Kev continued to watch, just a bit interested, considering it had been forever since she had seen a decent fight. Part of her missed it, but she was never one to actually start anything. Nope....Never.....Not once.....
>.>
<.<
But either way she observed. Why? Because she was always wanting to note the style of other people and they way they fought. It was just how she was, and it was something she had picked up from Katsu and then grown into through Gabriel. Now, it was like second nature.
So this guy seemed like he was pretty good, especially when the other dude that was in the mix took off away from the fight. Ugh! She hated cowards! She had NEVER run away from a fight...Been forcibly drug away.....and struggled to return, but never had she herself turned and ran away. It made her sick.
But lucky for her, the big guy came running straight in her direction and she just could not help herself. She had to...it was like a little voice inside her head was saying DO EEET!!!
So, she hopped up from her position and stood right in is path..making him slide to a stop before he ran into her. Panting heavily, he looked down at the little female before him with a look of amusement. Probably given the look of annoyance and aggression that she gave off.
Okay, so she had promised Mischa she would be good...But one little bitty fight was not going to hurt anything right...Besides, technically, it would not be a fight...cause yeah.....she was pretty sure that she could take him.
So as he reached out, his hand gripping her shoulder to try and shove her out of the way, she shifted, turning her body and slamming her elbow hard into his stomach. This of course caused him to double over just enough to allow her to reach back grab his head and the throw her own back into his.....
Ahhhh
The lovely scent of blood filling the air as she undoubtedly busted his nose open and perhaps caused a few cuts to the inside of his lip. Also, the yelp of pain he let out was just another thing to add to her own personal love of the moment.
Releasing him, she spun around, her hands shooting out to rest on the side of his face as she put her own right in his line of sight, a soft, nearly seductive tone slipping forth as she spoke out, clear enough that if anyone was nearby, they could hear, though not too loud of course....
"I am supposed to be a good girl in this blasted place. No fighting, unless I have to. Thats the rule. And yet here you are, a coward, running away from a fight and making me get up and break my rule....which makes me mad......And do you know what happens when I get mad?"
She did not wait for him to reply, simply let those icy hues shift to that scary crimson shade, noting the bit of fear in his face before she would slam her knee up and into his crotch. Yeah...that was a lovely sound to hear.....as he fell to his knees holding himself.
It was enough to make her roll her eyes.....sighing softly as she looked at her hand and grumbled over the breaking of a nail all the while her other knee coming up to bang into the side of his head......laying him out cold.
Like she thought...not really much of a fight at all.....It was a shame too...she had not had a good fight since the last time her and Gabriel had fought....almost two years ago now......If she was a pouter...in public...she would......
Her eyes now going to the guy he had run away from as she smiled and waved happily, pointing to the bloodied and beaten guy laid out at her feet.
"Dont worry. I got him for ya."
Cheery little tone and all. Yes, she was a happy camper right now.

Apparently, one of the trio had made an escape and Cain was a tad bit too busy admiring his handiwork with the other to notice immediately. It was only three steps out did Cain realised he was short of one more art-piece and turned on his heels to give chase. Cain was a lot faster, so this guy could only run so far before Cain caught up with him. However, apparently, someone else had gotten into the mix. A female, who took it upon herself to get in the way of the male. Worried, but curious, the Junior slowed down, unsure of what to do then. She was a female, so of course Cain would step up instinctively to help her. But the man was a whole lot larger. If she had the balls, no pun intended, to face the man, she probably had the skills to back her up too.
"I am supposed to be a good girl in this blasted place. No fighting, unless I have to. Thats the rule. And yet here you are, a coward, running away from a fight and making me get up and break my rule....which makes me mad......And do you know what happens when I get mad?"
Cain's eyes widened slightly. Right, this girl was really creepy. And scary. And tough. In just two quick moves, she had already drawn the guy's blood. Well, understandable, since it was the nose that she had targetted, but still.. That was one hell of a combination. And as if that was not enough, she carried on going down hard upon the male, a knee to the crotch.
Cain was a man. And he was compassionate to a fault. As the first knee strike hit, Cain could not help but feel an uncomfortable feeling surge through his lower body as he bent his knees, his face scrunching as he imagined the pain the man was feeling then. And she even followed it up with an opposite knee to the face, knocking him out cold. Wow, lethal.
"Dont worry. I got him for ya."
Cain regained his composure as he looked up at the girl. She was attractive, considerably tall and mature. And she looked a little bit older than he was. And to hell with it, she looked incredibly sweet and innocent. Too bad such were things Cain found difficult associating her with.
"Uhm... Thanks?"
He walked over to her, his eyes trailing down to the male on the ground, obviously the most unfortunate among the trio for the beating he had gotten, and most fortunate too for he had been knocked out and saved from the suffering he would have experienced then. Cain's victims were still gasping for air and struggling to move.
"Uhm... I'm Cain. Cain Aurelius."

She would reach out her hand as if to shake only to spot a bit of blood on it and smile a bit sheepishly.
"Oops. My bad....Hold on."
To that she pulled her hand back and to her mouth, licking the blood off and shivering softly at the taste of it. Gah she missed that.
But once she was done, she simply wiped her hand on her jeans and offered back out to him.
"There, all better now. I am Kevala Katashi. Nice to meet you."
She would wait for him to shake her hand before she would pull it back and then run it over the back of her head, just making sure that she did not have any blood or anything there...yeah cause she did not want to hear it when she got home.
"So, new here?"
She turned those startling icy hues toward him as she took a step onto the big guy in front of her to allow her access to the table she had been seated upon. Not really caring that her boot had just planted itself right in his stomach.
Oh come on! Not like she weighed a whole lot!
Either way, she took her seat and then turned once more to face Cain, that smile never leaving her lips.

Cain glanced down as he saw her hand move towards him, sticking out in offer of a handshake, one of which Cain was about to take as he raised his left hand, when she suddenly pulled it back and away from him. He raised an eyebrow, wondering why she changed her mind, when he noticed the spot of blood on her hand. The one that she licked of. That eyebrow stayed in its elevated position. Right. Well, she wouldn't be the first blood-thirsty violent student he would have met, but she was definitely the first female one. What an achievement.
When she offered it back to him, Cain relaxed his eyebrows, knowing that it would only serve to make it more awkward for them both. And of course, he took her hand, shaking it in a firm yet gentle way, if that were ever possible. A small smile replaced his thin lips as he looked at her. Well, she did not seem so bad. As long as Cain didn't get on her bad side, that is.
"Nice to meet you too, Kevala."
"So, new here?"
She could tell, huh? Cain turned back towards the scene, then at the man that she stepped on just to get back on her bench. Was it obvious from the way he fought, or from the fact that he did fight? After all, being fresh meat meant that there was a potential chance he did not know how to defend himself. Then again, it could be because she had never seen him before.
"Uhm, yeah. Just came here last week. How'd you tell?"

Shrugging slightly she smiled as she sat upon the table now and laid back, her hands coming to rest beneath her head as a sort of make shift pillow, her eyes following his every move as she continued study him. Bad habits die hard. Very very hard.
"Well have never seen you around, and figure if people are starting shit with you that means they think they can take you. If you had been here awhile, then yeah, less likely to start a fight with you from what I saw."
She was very honest, sometimes to a fault, and it was always her best quality, go figure. Either way, she just laughed lightly and turned to look up at the sky, pulling her shades down once more to cover them to prevent the light from hurting her already delicate vision.
"So, how you liking it here so far?"
She brushed her tongue over her lower lip as she heard a groan sounding from the guy who now was beginning to come around from his laid out position on the ground beside her table. Yes, her table. She sat here and so far had managed to make sure that people knew it....
What?
She was behaving damnit!
Sorta........
Yeah anyways, back to him. Yes, lets avoid that topic.

Well, Cain presumed right, it seemed. Both from never having met before, and that he was fresh meat. Fresh meat. Heh. He never thought he'd be labeled as such in his old school. He was a small fry at first, back in #552. However, slowly but surely, he was able to climb the ranks of the fighters of #552, even having being dubbed as the Sapphire Dragon back then. Then, #552 closed down, friends disappeared and relationships went haywire. Cain's life went down to the dumps and he changed his appearances, specifically his navy blue hair. The Sapphire Dragon was then gone.
"Ah."
He replied simply, unable to find any reason to say any more than that, not was he able to think of anything else to say anyway. Well, now this was awkward. Cain hated such things. He was never much of a talker, at least, socially. Of course, when he had a point to get across, he was as sharp a talker as one of those debate specialist. Short, brief, to the point and strong. However, when it came to such get-to-know conversations, Cain sucked.
"So, how you liking it here so far?"
"Well, it ain't that much different from my old school, save a bit more peaceful. And I don't have much friends here yet, so not really that exciting. Haha."
Cain chuckled. Yeah, he missed his old buds. Yuuki, Narin and as much as he refused to admit it, Orion too. That annoying glowing boy. Gah. Boy, would Yuuki be amused had he known that Cain was thinking of the glowworm.
"You been here long?"

Kevala listened as he spoke and nodded softly. She understood the feeling of being alone in a new place all too well. She had moved here, and aside from Mischa, she knew nobody......At least not yet....She missed her friends, she missed her life...But she had come here for Mischa and well...she could not really regret that.....Besides, most of her friends had left her before she had moved......
"I have not been here too long. Only a few weeks.....Still not used to this place even if it is like my old school...."
She shrugged softly and then reached up, tucking a bit of hair back behind her ear as she let those icy hues fall over him, another gentle glide of her tongue across that slightly pouty lower lip.
She was not exactly the most normal girl, and now that she did not back down from people, she was apparently not the most approachable.......It was all just...so...bleh....But this was her life now, and she knew that she must get used to it.....There was nothing else for her but the twins and Mischa........They were her life now.....

Despite the earlier display of extreme violence and aggression, she did not seem like an all too bad a person. Perhaps Cain could get used to her attitude... Sooner or later. He looked down at the man under her sole, unable to help but feel a little pity for the Senior. He had really ran towards the wrong direction there. He probably regretted booty-calling her too. Cain would then walk around the guy, before proceeding to sit down at the seat of the bench that Kevala sat upon, facing the same direction that she was.
"I have not been here too long. Only a few weeks.....Still not used to this place even if it is like my old school...."
Old school? Was she from #552 too? Nah, impossible. Cain would have recognised her if she did. She must have been from another school of similar levels of violence, which only served to make Cain more curious. He turned his head, looking towards her with furrowed eyebrows and a curious glint in his eye.
"Old school? What was your old school?"
Well, Cain wouldn't be surprise if there were more schools like #552 and #774 too, considering the system of education at the moment, where they were willing to take in any student that applied, and use violence as a means to discipline people. As if that ever worked.
It only served to add oil to the already-strong fire of hatred among the students.

No, she had thought about moving to 552 for awhile, but then Mischa had other plans and so Kev had changed her own....Sighing softly, she looked over toward him as he took a seat beside her and smiled lightly.
"Umm...259 ..in Long Beach."
She nodded slightly and then turned her attention to the guy on the ground who had started to turn over in an effort to get up. She honestly was not in the mood to deal with him, so with any luck he would just turn and leave.
She had dealt with enough shit at 259....She had wanted to try and behave here......though it was so hard, because she had gotten so used to fighting.....
Shaking her head at the thought she brushed her tongue over her lips as she turned those icy hues back to look at him.
"So, where did you come from?"
It was a bit blunt and to the point, but yeah, she was not one to beat around the bush if she saw no reason to. Which in this case she did not. That friendly smile still in place.

"Umm...259 ..in Long Beach."
Long Beach in California? Oh, that's near here. At least, compared to Cain. He had come all the way from the East of America, from New York. #259, huh? Cain had heard of that school. Apparently, some of #552's students move there, as would #259 students move to #552. Of course, Cain have never been at that school, but he did hear a few things about it. The violence was just like #552, only at a higher level.
Then, the guy on the ground finally regained consciousness, groans escaping his throat as he felt the pain of everything return to him. Then, upon realising that he was still under Kevala's foot, he let out a soft yelp of surprise as his hands reached forward, grabbing the grass in front of him as he tried to pull himself away. Cain looked at him for a moment, wondering if he should move, but decided against it. He had suffered enough already, Cain figured.
"So, where did you come from?"
And apparently, she chose to ignore his escape too. Perhaps because he was not probably going to bother them any time soon, especially her? Perhaps. He turned his attention back to her then, taking note of the question that she returned towards him. Where did he come from, huh?
"Well, I'm from #552, from New York, New York."
Seems that #552 had not been the only school that had closed down and had their students saved by the appearance of #774. Well, saved in a way, I guess.

She smiled still as she nodded and reached up, brushing her fingers through her long raven locks as she sighed softly.
"I had thought of going there for a bit, but yeah, life had other plans...."
Drawing in a soft breath she leaned back slightly...her head turning once more toward the sky as the clouds covered the sun enough to avoid the pain of looking at the sky. She was not really in the mood to have to deal with that. She continued to feel so lost in this place, and yet, slowly she was starting to fit in...she guessed...She still missed those that she cared about greatly..But yeah, not like she would ever see them again....So it was not something that really mattered......
"It is so hard getting used to being alone though. I miss my friends and I feel quite out of place...."
