grav entered the room where he was to serve his sentence. he hated having to stay in detention. he hated the students he hated the teachers and he hated the fact that the school punished him. its not like he was to blame, the kid just ran into his fist. it was a complete accident. the fact that the kid bet money that he didnt have had nothing to do with it.
as grav entered he saw a teacher at the head of the small room and a few, maybe three, students sitting at desks at opposite corners of the room. grav took off his jacket and hat and placed them on the desk closest to the door.
all the kids that were already here were simple looking. he figured they were in here for things like not doing their homework or spray painting obscene things on the bathroom walls etc. before he could sit the teacher asked him to come sign in for school record. he was to remain seated here for 6 hours. from 3 until 9.
grav took his seat at the back of the room, realizing there were only two seats anywhere close to him. in front of him and one to his left. all the others were arranged in the room in rows and lines.
i guess these are here to make sure every student who gets a detention has a seat grav thought to himself.
this was going to be a long 6 hours. he hoped something fun would happen.

Having Options.
The arrival of a new student in the Detention was a certainly strange thing to behold as Jayr had never been in detention, She'd always been the good girl that followed the rules and often times upheld them for longer than she could certainly imagine. She'd smile innocently on her approach stopping by the teacher at the front before holding a small conversation with him and passing across a small note of little importance before walking back past the front row and into the seat left of some guy she didn't know.
Of course she didn't waste time instead of groaning and sighing like most others did upon their arrival into detention she sprung forth a binder full of work which she'd place on her table before her. Flipping through pages she got increasingly interested in their contents, her fingers being licked briefly to help turn the pages and her face reducing distance from the pages.
The truth of the matter was, Jayr wasn't here because of a violation, instead she'd chosen to come here, better to study with people, with a teacher than have the lights cut out on you and have a haunting evening.

grav noticed the girl walk in. she was hot. like really hot. like damn. can i get that? kinda hot. grav watched her walk to the teacher and hand him a note. afterward she sat down to the left of grav. this intrigued him. perhaps she was trying to say something to him subconsciously.
"what is a pretty thing like you doing in here?"
he noticed all the school work she had strewn about her desk
"doing homework... gotcha."
he realized really quickly that she wasnt here for detention but more to just quietly do homework.
grav sat thre for about an hour and was bored out of his mind. every now and then he would zone out and stay in his dream world for a few minutes but it never lasted too long. he couldnt take it anymore. and just as he was about to stand up and leave, the teacher started talking
he said " im leaving the room for a few hours, i have a meeting with the rest of the faculty if any of you leave i will know, if any of you talk i will know, if any of you do anything i dont like..... i will know. got it?"
as he left grav noticed the pen in the teachers pocket and lifted it as he walked by. he looked at the girl and whispered
"gotta have a souvenier from these things you know."
he smiled at her and held out his hands
"the names caleb le beau but everyone calls me grav"

Giving a hint.
"what is a pretty thing like you doing in here?"
Jayr would slowly cock her head up to acknowledge the boy's presence if even with just a slight nod and a glare as if to tell him off without such words.
"doing homework... gotcha."
Good he got the message across, Jayr would turn back to her books ignoring the simple fact that she was in the room and complicated her life with small little algorithms and soon enough she was done. Bored out of her mind she'd pile everything neatly in her binder and pull out a small sketch of papers and begin playing Sudoku. It was her infamous way of passing time on a rather boring day. And truth be told she didn't want to go home just yet.
"I'm leaving the room for a few hours, i have a meeting with the rest of the faculty if any of you leave i will know, if any of you talk i will know, if any of you do anything i dont like..... i will know. got it?"
Jayr looked up and sighed as she knew quite well what idle threats would do, start a panic, and if any of these kids were indeed smart enough they'd realize there was no defining line that could contain them here not without a physical present to lock them in. Biting her lip Jayr thought, well she was after all Captain, was that not her job to keep order. But the fact that she had a title that presented power also conflicted her ideas as when to use them.
"gotta have a souvenier from these things you know."
Eyes turned up to see what the boy had in his grip, she could recognize the teacher's pen well enough on its own but what left her confused was why someone had to steal something so discrete something that could simply be bought or even picked up freely.

Out would come her hand to address him, though in a much different way than he'd probably realize, turning downward her hand would go from gentle to a fist before slamming into his upper thigh right beside the hips. The catalyst itself would bring him to his knees.
Jayr would emerge from her seat standing just above him with a stern glare as her hand would weave to his taking the pen before turning away and skipping to the desk setting the pen atop the desk.
"Jayr Byrne, I guess this is where I say its a pleasure?" She'd say arching her neck back to look at him with a large smile innocent as could be.
