For Now. Things were as they always had been, rising early in the morning to the usual drab, and as Jayr stood in front of the mirror fixing her hair there was a dull sense of necessity on her mind. Fixing her make up slowly by applying a forced thumbs to scrub the lines from beneath her eyes. There was no way she was going to come to an important day such as this looking raccoon eyed. A heavy sigh and she felt like she was going to throw up, every day seemed to be a little bit worse than the one before. At least she could keep pushing, until her last breath faded.
***Later***
Jayr would arrive at school bigger than the day before as she pumped her figure to draw in attention on a very conservative level, knee-length dress and a button up coat with high heels, she looked very much like she belonged on wall street. In the nook of her arm was her binder thick with papers, ideas she had scrawled on the night before. Ideas, Cheers, and charts. She was pretty nerdy when she got into something, just like this.
She made her way according to the map laid out for her by the Student Body President to find her acquainted meeting spot, however she was unsure as to whether or not Jasper had warned Kevala in advance about this arrangement.
"Hello Kevala," Jayr would say coming around the corner towards the gym, a hand moving to her skull to part her bangs out over her ear so she could see everything better. "I hope this isn't a burden on your schedule." |

Kevala had arrived at the school early that day, just as she did every day, in order to get in her morning workout before class started. It was her quiet time, when the rest of the school was anywhere BUT the gym. That was when she liked the most to just relax and forget about the thoughts that were haunting her night after night.
She hated this place, ever since what had happened with that.....thing....but she knew that she had to be here, she had a duty as the Captain to make sure that things ran smoothly for her and for the rest of the students.
It was about an hour into her routine, always the one to push herself until she could not do so any longer. A layer of sweat covering her creamy white flesh, her attire consisting of a small black tank top that stopped over just above her midsection and a pair of black form fitting shorts.
The sounds of her sneakers against the gym floor sounded throughout the room as she made her final lap around the area. Her long raven strands pulled back into a ponytail, though a few had broken few and were now plastered to the sides of her face and neck.
It was just as she had doubled over, hands placed upon her knees in order to take a rest and catch her breath that she heard somebody approaching. Instantly she would shoot her eyes in that direction, her normal paranoia at a much higher level these days.
Though as eyes fell over Jayr she would simply huff and lower her head once more, not too bothered by her presence, figuring she was here for some other matter, perhaps one dealing with the cheer team or whatever. That is until her name was spoken and it was made clear that this was indeed some attempt at meeting with her.
Closing her eyes, not sure if she was really in the mood just yet for school business, she would sigh and rise to stand, moving over to her bag and grabbing out a bottle of water.
"I have time, though next time call first, I would be happy to set up a time to meet with you."
She turned to face Jayr once more, cracking the top to the bottle and bringing it to her lips for a long, much needed drink. When she was done she would twist the lid back on, tossing the bottle back into her bag and then moving to begin her sit-ups on the mat she had set out upon the gym floor.
As she laid down, her knees being drawn up and her arms going behind her head, she would get in two sit ups before she turned to Jayr and raised her brow.
"Well?"
Resuming her routine as she listened for whatever the girl had to say, though judging by her attire and such, it was probably something "official".

The Word is Out Jayr would manage out a small smile in attempts to be civil, she knew that Kevala and her didn't exactly see eye to eye but potentially Jayr could be on her good side with her ideas rather than her personality or ideals. Even as she'd made it a point that she was not welcome here Jayr would simply lean on her right leg pursing her lips impatiently.
"I have time, though next time call first, I would be happy to set up a time to meet with you."
Jayr sighed briefly to express a slight bit of relief not trying to show she was intimidated because she wasn't rather she just felt off due to the manner in which she was being spoken to. Kevala was in the middle of her steady work-out and still giving the effort to speak up.
"Well?"
Jayr would take a breath and smile flipping her hair back casually over her shoulder and stepping up on the plate to speak. "I'm sorry you're Student Body President pointed me this away."
With a wave of her wrist the thought would be ushered out of her mind and back onto the topic. "So I had a few things in mind I wanted to get passed through you and hopefully I'd like your help on a few things."
Jayr would make a light cough projecting her chest out dominantly to suggest that she was entirely on top of things.

Kevala stopped in her sit ups, wrapping her arms about her knees to hold her position as she raised her brow.
"Did he now?"
That was something she would have to discuss with him at a later date, her schedule was not for public knowledge, she enjoyed her mornings to herself before being bombarded with students and their problems and ideas and whatever else they could possibly come up with to try and get her attention and her favor.
Yet for now she would not press the matter, simply tuck it away in the back of her mind for a later date and time. As Jayr continued Kev would continue to listen, the thought of already having to go over ideas irking her just a tad but if she was able to do one thing above all others, it was be civil and play the part she was supposed to play.
At the mention of a pep rally she would raise her brow slightly. Her mind going over the student body as a whole and if the idea would fall well with them. Especially given she was currently down one pillar, the other was having some sort of early mid life crisis and Guy was nowhere to be found. That meant she would be having to make sure everything went smoothly basically on her own, unless she could garner a few acquaintances to help her out.
"The idea sounds interesting, but I need to see your plans for the event. I need a list of the cheer leaders, and the football players who are active at the moment, just to keep tabs on who is who. I am also assuming it would be in the gym, so I need a list of volunteers to help set up for the event and the pricing on any materials that you would need to set it up. Also a schedule would be nice, so I know when this is to take place and about how long you plan to have it running."
Sure, she was meticulous with her planning, but that was to be expected, she was never one to let little things fall through the cracks only to rise up and bite you in the ass later.
"If you can get me that stuff, i will review the information today I will have an answer for you no later than tomorrow afternoon."
She was not being bitchy, not in the slightest, she was being official, that was the best she could be. She didnt do the whole "oh i know you so i will just let it go" thing...No, she was like this to everyone, though if the girl took it personal that was her problem.
"Anything else?"

Later.... Jayr's lips would purse speculatively for a moment as she seemed on edge about the turn of knowledge against her own pillar though the thought hadn't concerned her much less crossed her mind. Shrugging the thought off absent minded Jayr would sway impatiently waiting for a sign of affirmative answer or rather the other way about.
"The idea sounds interesting, but I need to see your plans for the event. I need a list of the cheer leaders, and the football players who are active at the moment, just to keep tabs on who is who. Jayr would smile and nod in acceptance, this was the side of the woman that Jayr liked, it was all about plans and graphics now something that Jayr had been in fact prepared for.
"If you can get me that stuff, i will review the information today I will have an answer for you no later than tomorrow afternoon."
"I'll do you one better," Jayr would pull out the envelope of papers she'd organized for this event, all done quietly though beneath the pillar's eyes for just the purpose of keeping things secretive. "I've got the cheer squad members already in on this and they're prepared....or they will be. As for Football, not sure we have a team organized just yet but I'd not put it past your Varsity Captain to start something up."
Of course she didn't know she was lacking in that department.
"I have a few volunteers but not many was hoping to spend the rest of my day organizing a few things."
"Anything else?"
Jayr would shrug hoping that Kevala would enlighten her on a few other things she may have been inclined to pitch in knowing the woman at least a fair bit more than most probably took to understand. |

Kevala took the information, sitting up and crossing her legs indian style as she read over the information, all the while still listening to what was said.
"Varsity Captain is a no go."
She muttered the words as she continued to scan over the information, fingers flipping through the pages and then back again. Comparing information and making sure that everything added up.
When no other suggestions were offered, Kevala would offer up a few of her own.
"I will give you permission to use the school announcement system to announce when the event will take place. I will also grant hall passes to 4 cheer leaders, including yourself to distribute flyers to the classes, though dont make an all day event of it. You will have two hours, given the number of classes to cover."
Closing the documents she would set them down beside her, fully intent on keeping them to once more go over later.
"Also, my schedule is my own to keep and for my pillars to have in case I am needed for an emergency. It is not your fault I am sure that you were given it, though I do ask that you keep that knowledge to yourself and do not take advantage."
She valued her time, and she had shit she had to get done, she could not have too many interruptions in her schedule.
"But since Jasper thinks that my schedule is something so easily tossed about whenever a pretty face crosses his path, I request that you have your mascot sit out this time and please inform Jasper he will be wearing the suit for this event."
She then pushed herself up, grabbing the papers as she did and moving to stuff them in her bag, grabbing her water as she did so.
"Also inform him that I expect FULL team spirit from him."
Kevala would then take a seat, her mind running over a few more points.
"Oh and one more thing. If you and the rest of the cheer team can go about pricing school spirit items, like ribbons or whatever else you can think of, and run the pricing by me, I think it would be a good idea to sell those around the school to help fund the pep rally. Also I will allow a car wash in the school parking lot on Saturday to raise money. I figure anything extra can be put into a fund for the cheer team to take a little trip this summer if they perform well in school. Call it a reward for providing such an effort to pull this school together. We can discuss this matter further at a later date though, once the pep rally is out of the way. If you wish of course."
Hell she was being nice, not something that most expected, and though she was not sure if it would pay off, she was hoping that the girl would see that Kevala was not a total bitch all the time.

Speechless "Varsity Captain is a no go."
The seemingly cold exterior Kevala put off in her presence began unnerving Jayr as she'd tenderly lower her gaze off to the side and try not to mind. Though now her thoughts had wandered to Jack a part of her wondering how that came to be. Seemed like it was a bad time to be a pillar nowadays considering their expectancy.

Jayr tried opening her mouth though every opportunity finding herself being cut off. She wasn't sure whether to be thankful or feel annoyed at not getting a word out.

"Mmmmm Alright." was all Jayr could manage and even meekly at that, her hands folding in her lap and her knees would buckle together respectably before swaying on her back hip for but a moment. She had these ideas but wasn't sure about it all working out, Her eyes would fade pensively considering all the ins and outs before coming back to reality.
"I suppose we'll see how this all works out after the Pep Rally." Jayr would nod with a court smile playing the politician even when she'd won her little prize. |

Kev nodded, she honestly didnt care about the mixed emotions she felt from the girl. Annoyed, happy, whatever the hell she felt it really made no difference to Kev. She knew that they were the two to most likely butt heads every time they got into the same room, but that did not stop her from liking her just the same.
As she took a drink of water, she would then reach up, wiping a bit of sweat away from her brow. She then rolled her eyes and grinned.
"Oh come on. Loosen up. And by the way. I will be watching just how well you organize the students and how well you get can maintain the function. I wont be helping any further than this and I dont want you seeking help from any other pillar. "
Something in her tone suggesting that there was more to what she was saying than just the actual words. Which with Kevala, there usually was.
"Consider this your job interview."
That was all she had to say. The girl was smart, and she was sure that if Jayr thought about it, she would figure it out soon enough. If not then Kev could spell it out for her at a later date. Though she would be sorely disappointed if she had to do such.
She would wait, seeing if perhaps a bit of recognition set in the girl's eyes. If for nothing more than the seriousness of what Kevala was talking about.
